Larry Trepel is a cartoonist and writer, with auction coverage and a monthly cartoon feature, titled Light-Hand Drive, appearing in Keith Martin’s Sports Car Market. His cartoons have appeared over the years in books and magazines including National Lampoon, The New Yorker, Playboy, Penthouse, That’s Sick!, and in new collections this year Send Help! and All’s Fair In Love & War. Growing up Larry loved the 60s comic books and dreamed of winning the 500cc Motorcycle Grand Prix World Championship. He raced in amateur events on a FZR400 and stood on the podium at the legendary Bridgehampton racecourse. He turned to his last cultural love, gag cartooning, he was able to occasionally publish cartoons over the years while eking out a living botching car and motorcycle repairs.
