Bill Pack is an automotive photographer and who studied at the iconic Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, California. His photography is influences by art and the strong graphic lines of automobiles with a focus on lighting, texture, and design. His move to shooting mostly classic cars started about a decade ago after years of shooting a wide range of subjects commercially. In his latest project Bill teamed up with past Cars Yeah guest and designer Dwight T. Knowlton to create a book titled Epic Drama: The Winning Collection of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum. At over 200 pages this project is a magical journey featuring the historic race cars that have run the Indy 500.

INSPIRATION

Spending over 30 days on this book project and being at the track surrounded by all the historic race cars was truly inspirational. 

CHALLENGES

The timeline was the biggest challenge as this had to be shot in a short period of time and during the Indy 500.
