Jim Cozzie serves as the Director of Business Development for suspension specialists RideTech. He has over 30 years of high-level business development in automotive specialty and television production industries. His career has included time with B&M Racing Performance Products, Super Press, Zoom Performance Products, and Hurst Performance. Jim has extensive experience globally in emerging distribution and sales programs, brand positioning, and new product development. He was part of programs by Detroit’s Big Three including  the original SVO Mustang, Oldsmobile’s DRCE engine package, historic Ford GTs, and the Hurst Oldsmobile. He served as Chairman of the Board of SEMA and spent three terms on SEMA’s Board of Directors. Jim’s a private pilot who loves powerboats and helping his youngest son’s budding racing career.

INSPIRATION

Jim’s uncle who helped him after losing his father when Jim was only 14, was an engineer for an avionics company, stepped in to mentor and help guide Jim.

CHALLENGES

After being hired by a company that was growing and moving fast, the 2008 recession hit and destroyed the company.
