South African-born Glen Smale started his professional motor journalism and photography career back in 1994, but if truth be told, Glen has had a driving passion for all things motoring since a tender age. He started Automotive Research, an archive of motoring and motorsports information. He’s authored eighteen books covering sports cars and motor racing, and founded the photo agency Virtual Motorpix, specializing in sports cars and motorsports racing. His newest book is titled Le Mans: 100 Years: A Century at the World’s Greatest Race published by Motorbooks. It is a compilation of the history of Le Mans packed with photography, narrative, and much, much more. Glen has been a member of the Guild of Motoring Writers since 1994.
