Dr. Mark Brinker is a world-renowned orthopedic surgeon with a lifelong passion for helping others and for automobiles. In addition to his medical career specializing in complex fractures, Mark is an automotive enthusiast, collector, vintage racer, historian, and journalist. Mark’s current car collection includes 35 carefully curated postwar sports cars primarily from Italy, the U.S., and Japan. He co-authored Vintage American Road Racing Cars: 1950-1970 which was nominated for the Motor Press Guild’s Dean Bachelor Award. He also co-authored, with Myron Vernis a past Cars Yeah guest, A Quiet Greatness: Japan’s Most Astonishing Automobiles for the Collector and Enthusiast which was awarded a 2023 Motorworld Buchpreis Award. His third book is entitled The Amazing Denzel Sports Car. He’s penned a monthly column for Vintage Racecar, is a masthead contributor for Sports Car Market, and written feature work for Octane magazine and numerous other automotive publications.
