Anita Lewis is a fine artist whose art portrays the speed and motion of racecars on the track. She received her education in the arts studying abstract art, rendering illustrations, drafting, and interior design. In the early 80s she migrated to Germany, integrating into the European lifestyle and began rendering BMW car parts and painting racecars for German friends. She was also a narrow selection of artists rendering for Porsche in Zuffenhausen. Upon her return to the USA she continued painting racecars with a focus on Le Mans and Formula 1 with an emphasis on depicting speed. Anita has painted at the USGP in Austin where she met and sold her paintings to celebrities in the racing world. Today you’ll find her paintings at a wide variety of automotive events including Barrett Jackson, Velocity International and at the Signature Galleries in Las Vegas.

INSPIRATION
Anita got inspiration for her abstract art from Richard Diebenkorn and Gerhard Richter’s art.
CHALLENGE
Back when Anita’s father forbade her to study art, insisting she study something that can generate a living. Anita ended up studying interior design and a lot of fine art anyway.
SPECIAL AUTOMOBILE
A VW Golf GTI she drove on the autobahn and a California Ferrari she drove in Italy.
