INSPIRATION

Rick’s older brother Dave was his mentor when they were growing up. Dave was a talented model builder that inspired Rick to try model building. Today, Don Henderson, Mario Andretti’s ex-PR person, is Rick’s current day mentor.

CHALLENGES

When his role at Audrain ended and COVID hit, Rick was looking for a new career and wasn’t successful. It was at that time that he looked at model building while looking for work, and that lead to his success today.

SPECIAL AUTOMOBILE MODEL BUILD

A Hudson Hornet Rick built for Jay Ward at Pixar, that is a reproduction of  Doc Hudson in the movie Cars.
