  1. This man is an inspiration to anyone to wants to follow their dreams. I know this better than anyone who has ever met him, because he is my dad. He is a role model to show anything is possible, and if you want it, you can do it. Lucky me to have Larry Crane as my dad.

  2. Larry Crane was my car mentor during his tenure at Automobile Magazine. He was (and still is) always full of good advice. As a young impatient driver wanting to carve up an especially curvy two-lane road in a new Boxster but being impeded by slow traffic ahead of us, I was getting visibly frustrated, and from the passenger seat Larry simply said, “slow down or pull over, and let them advance out of your way.” I caught up to that slow sedan three times in ten minutes and enjoyed every second. I was a little embarrassed that I had not even thought of that idea before, but I think of it now every time I enjoy a back road. Thank you, Larry!
