CAREER & LIFE CHALLENGES

When I was in the printing business, it completely changed when computers came out. I got out of it at the right time, and it took me a year to get into the automotive industry that I loved. I went to school and got my credentials. I wrote a book to establish credibility and it’s all worked out.

  1. I love reading your column in Newsday! It takes me back to the days when I had a 67 Sunbeam289 tiger which stupidly I sold, I should have gotten rid of my 1st wife,oh well.
One quick story, I went to University of Miami and majored in radio tv film. I got a job at CBS news as a desk assistant on the Cronkite evening news. One night I was told to take Walter to a local garage near the broadcast center so he could pick up a Mercury Cougar Eliminator a “gift” from Mercury. We took a round about way at night and he said it sure is dark in here. Go figure, Cronkite in an Eliminator!
I think in the late 60s70s a lot of fathers lived vicariously through their sons lots of XKEs and Vettes, unfortunately my father always a little eccentric so I had to live with a Sunbeam
    Thanks
