Matt

Matt Hardigree is a writer and car journalist who frequently reminds people he’s from Texas even though he currently lives in Brooklyn, New York. As Executive Director of Jalopnik, Gawker Media’s automotive site, he oversees a large staff dedicated to entertaining and occasionally informing the biggest and most enthusiastic audience of young car fans in the world. Matt frequently appears on CNN, ABC News, the BBC, Bloomberg, Fox News, Marketplace, and other outlets to provide his expertise on a variety of topics. Before his seven years as a writer and editor at Jalopnik, Matt worked as a political consultant and speechwriter for campaigns around the country. He is also an award-winning playwright and chili cook.
