To Succeed Despite

He succeeded because he didn’t know it was impossible.

During the economic recession of 2009 a car dealer in the midwest was still going strong and selling lots of cars. In fact he was the only one still selling lots of cars. The manufacturer sent an intern to his dealership to find out what he was doing and how he was able to still sell cars in this poor economic climate. The intern returned and wrote up his report which was one sentence long.

The idiot is unaware there is an economic crisis.

Even when times are challenging and tough there are ways of being positive and finding solutions. It’s possible if you can see the glass half full or better yet, full and a half like Carlos Salum, a recent guest on my Cars Yeah podcast. Here is a tip.

Find something positive that will bring more joy to your day and to others.

Thank you to this week’s guest Christian Philippsen for his inspiration that stoked today’s blog.

  1. Mark: very nice connection between inspirational thoughts. Thank you for the mention. There’s real value in the cross-reference of ideas, concepts and approaches to “go beyond.” Your program becomes a fascinating exploration of “what can be.”
