We can talk ourselves out of anything. Even the things we know are right and good for us to accomplish. Eat healthier. Exercise consistently and vigorously. Start that project we’ve been thinking about for years. Visit a place we have never been to. Take a bold step outside of our comfort zone. Doubt creeps back in and denies us opportunity.
The remedy for self-doubt is truth.
I suspect Henry Ford, Preston Tucker, and so many other automotive pioneers heard that internal criticism. They certainly received a lot from their critics. They learned though that you can’t listen to negative self talk. It cannot be reasoned with. Instead they created an inner truth and believe that, “I can’t quit.”
Victors decide that their success is truth.
I keep learning from the wisdom and inspiration my Cars Yeah guests share. Their reassurances that anything is possible, comes from their truth. One guest said, “I was too dumb to know I could fail.” Another decided he would prove his father wrong and that he would succeed. Another simply stated that he would simply win.
They used their interpretation of truth to remove the possibility of failure.
John 8:32 – The truth will make you free. You don’t have to be religious to understand how true this statement is. Just listen to the over 200 inspiring people on Cars Yeah. It is a resounding truth that they share. Find your truth and kill your doubt.
This is so true! Nothing happens without imagination. All successful people in this world imagined, created and didn’t quit.
