Care to Share

Books1

Are you the kind of person who loves to share a book you’ve enjoyed? An article you read, a movie you saw or a story you’ve heard? Do you stand firmly behind your recommendations? Or are you the person who hesitates because your recommendation may not be accepted as being so stellar.

That fear of being judged can be heavy.

One of the questions I ask my guests on Cars Yeah is to share a book they think their fellow enthusiasts would enjoy. And with almost 200 guests on the show as of this writing I have received a lot of tremendous recommendations.

It is the sharing of things you care about that can make a difference.

Inspiring Automotive Enthusiasts™ is the Cars Yeah mantra and sharing a book, or a movie is a powerful inspiration in today’s instant access to media world. I decided sharing was important enough to make it easier for you to find these great recommendations.

The Guest Recommended Books page is now here at Cars Yeah.

So check out the ideas being shared by inspirational enthusiasts at Cars Yeah and while you’re there, make a recommendation of your own by clicking on the Contact button and sending me an email. You’re judged the best on whether you care to share. And that can change things for the better.

  1. OK, this is a little off the car trail, but my favorite fiction authors are Nelson DeMille, Lee Child, Vince Flynn (RIP) and Michael Connelly. Their writing mostly involves mystery/crime/action-adventure. I’d recommend starting with their first books and working your way through. Have fun.

  2. OK… I will be brave…… The next time you go to an auto show (it matters not what the cars are about). Take your camera and pick an interesting part of each car and create a “FAMILY OF FOTOS”…. I went to an antique auto show in Balboa Park here in San Diego a couple of weeks ago and every one was shooting pics of the whole cars. I decided to do a “FAMILY OF FOTOS” called “FENDERS N SPOCKS” … I got a lot of detailed brightly colored pics; BUT more interesting was that I got into a lot of interesting conversations with other “enthusiasts” who wanted to know what the hell I was so interested in as I squatted and to get shots under the fenders!!…… Weird? Well, I can be weird because I am an art teacher and have always taught my students that a worth while show of art looks much more professional if it shows a “FAMILY” of work. OK, now I will admit that this idea of picking a car part to focus in on “has been done”…. Done by our hero, Mark Greene, in his little but mighty book of gas cap pics….. (I happen to be his Dad!)
