Don Taylor is the Director of the Stand 21 Safety Foundation, which educates racers on keeping themselves safer. He also serves as the UK Motorsport Industry Association’s Development Director for US West Coast and Southeast Regions. Don also continues to be a consultant in the racing industry. He has advised on the X-Prize alternative-powertrain vehicle competition, and on Hyundai’s US racing program. Don was formerly Senior Director for Technical Services at the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA), which included responsibility for safety regulations. As a Group Manager of General Motors Racing factory effort, Don was responsible for program managers, as well as engine, aero, and chassis engineers, working in the various NASCAR, in the Dale Earnhardt, Sr. and Jeff Gordon years.
