Randy Nonnenberg is the Co-founder of Bring a Trailer, the premier online auction marketplace for collectible vehicles, parts, and more. He is from Northern California and worked in engineering and production at Audi and BMW for 10 years before taking the leap and making Bring a Trailer a full time career starting in 2010. In 2014 they launched their online auction, and the collector car world was changed forever. Last year they sold $1.37 billion in vehicles on their site making BaT the largest enthusiast and collector car auction platform in the world. In March of this year they hit 100,000 auctions by selling their company-owned 1973 Datsun 240Z with proceeds going to The Piston Foundation. Your daily dose of BaT is like having your own personal assistant who scouts out all the cool cars, trucks, and motorcycles for sale. But be careful… this site is addictive!

Randy’s inspired by the growth and milestones BaT has hit and this most recent 100,000th sale inspired them to sell their company owned Datsun Z and donate the proceeds to charity.

CHALLENGES

The large volume of vehicles has forced BaT to start looking at segmenting groups, like their newer Motorcycle focused site.
