Glenn Stevens is the Executive Director of MICHauto and the Vice President of Automotive and Mobility Initiatives in the Detroit Regional Chamber. His mission is to promote, grow, and retain Michigan’s automotive and next-generation mobility industries. MICHauto is focused on developing the state’s automotive industry in the key areas of: Talent, Advocacy, Awareness, Start-up Innovation, and Next Gen Mobility along with the Digital Economy. Glenn has over 35 years of management, strategy, and operations experience across the automotive, mobility, steel, specialty chemicals, capital equipment industries and economic development sectors.

INSPIRATION

After spending the first two thirds of his career in the automotive industry, Glenn made a pivot to MEMA and to be of service to the industry. This became his new goal in life. Additionally, Glenn’s parents were both educators who served others and they instilled a desire to serve others in Glenn’s perspective on life.

CHALLENGE

Changing the mindset of communities and people to ‘do we have a forward-thinking mindset to improve’ is a challenge but doable.
