Re-Flashing Your R.A.S.

We’ve all heard of re-flashing your car’s computer. Most of the time it involves increasing performance to achieve more horsepower, torque, and response. My E46M3 has a ‘Sport’ button that dramatically changes the throttle response. It’s a wonderful button that changes the cars personality and I’ve always thought of it as a ‘quick-flash’ for the car.

Turns out our brains have a Sport Button as well.

We’ve all heard of visualization. Your Reticular Activating System (R.A.S.) is a network of neurons in your brain that acts as a filter, allowing certain information in and locking out information that we don’t want in. Turns out we flashed that system, and it may only be letting in information that we agree with. That can be very negative to our growth and improvement.  Best part of this is we can re-flash our brain through visualization.

Visualization is a tremendously powerful thing to have in your tool box.

Your Reticular Activating System (R.A.S.) can be controlled, re-flashed if you will, through visualization. Treat yourself to a more detailed explanation of this technique at the Be Inspired YouTube page. Give it a try and start your New Year’s Resolution a few month early to get a jump on your personal improvement. It takes only 30 seconds a day to re-flash your R.A.S.

Start using your personal Sport Button today.
