200 But Who’s Counting

200-SHOWS!

Yesterday’s 200th guest on Cars Yeah was Dennis Gage. He is of course the TV personality and star of television’s My Classic Car. Dennis has been doing his show for more than 20 years. That’s a long time and in fact, after one more year, he’ll surpass the longest running TV show in history, that being Gunsmoke.

That’s a lot of old trails he’s traveled down.

Getting on with things and moving forward. People that keep going, keep doing, keep moving, win. They keep stepping one foot in front of the other despite the roadblocks, the potholes, the dangerous curves, and the frequent breakdowns. The great racer Dale Earnhardt knew the key to success.

“Finishing races is important, but racing is more important.” – Dale Earnhardt

Just doing it. Day in and day out. As you learn in racing school, heads up and look down the road. Keep your eyes on where you want to be, not where you are. Don’t worry about what’s happened now and instead focus on what is ahead. Another champion said it well.

“The past is just data. I only see the future.” – Ayrton Senna

Cars Yeah will continue to look down the road and deliver to the valued listeners automotive inspiration. Sharing the success, challenges, failures, and adventures of like-minded enthusiasts. Working hard to bring some fun in your tool box for life. 200 down and a lot more to go. But who’s counting?

Thank you for listening, for reading, and for your support. I am truly grateful.

  1. Mark, congratulations on #200 and thanks for the efforts. Listening to your interviews has provided me with numerous nuggets of information and inspiration.

  2. Congratulations on 200 great interviews Mark! The podcast is a great resource and the all your passion and hard work is evident.

  3. Mark….What an accomplishment – especially given the content that you cover and the quality of your guest list. My favorite part has been how you drill down in the interviews – go into depth beyond the normal 5-10 minute interview. And of course….they are great fun to listen to! Keep up the great work and I wish you success in hundreds (and thousands) more interviews. Geoff Hacker, Forgotten Fiberglass
